This site had been in NAM following years of active remediation by other consultants. AET was tasked by the new owner to facilitate a Low Scored Site Initiative (LSSI) NFA. This option for low risk sites allows closure of contaminated sites meeting certain conditions without recording institutional or engineering controls on the deed. AET used new statutory guidance that became effective on July 1, 2016, and negotiations with the FDEP and the county road department to negotiate the LSSI NFA.
